Kim, what a fantastic book. I can't wait for part two. Flew through the pages, took me only few hours. It is realy good.

I absolutely loved reading this book! I love reading and I’m always looking for more books to read and I’m often disappointed with a lot of books but this one I just couldn’t put down! I love how it has some clean language because it often puts me off a book when it swears too much because of the limited vocabulary! This author is very talented and I can’t wait to read book 2! I literally squealed at the end and jumped around in anticipation of the next book! I was so disappointed that I couldn’t read book 2 right now!

Description: When earth was most in need the Elite, an alien race, saved them and in return humans offered the aliens a home. If anyone but a select few find out, it could mean that her family, herself and even the little safety that the humans have is at risk. Mera is forced to act as strong and emotionless as the Elite in order to get through this endeavor–and even then, is it enough to prove to none other than the Elite King that humans are as good as his own race?
Comments: I found this book to have an interesting plot. If you’re a fan of the Selection series, you’re going to enjoy this series because the first half of the book seems very closely related. I also enjoyed the endings of the chapters. I find it important to end chapters in interesting ways to keep the reader hooked and almost every chapter in this book ended in a cliffhanger, including the last one. While the plot is interesting, however, I felt like the characters were not very relatable. There wasn’t much character development and this made it difficult for me to connect with the characters.

I absolutely loved reading this book! It is an exciting and catchy novel from start to finish for old and young!
I can't wait for part 2 to come out!

As a big fan of YA dystopian books I could not help but compare with everything that I have already read and seen a lot of similarities.
There are some good original things in there.
The author is very discriptive which is a very strong point in this book, though also leads to a few cliches.
My biggest pet peeves in YA books are love triangles and long, dragging "Disney dips" (where everything turns bad) and these are happily both missing.
The clean language, the fantastic world building and the very relatable main character make this a fun book to read.

* This is such a compelling story, I could hardly put it down. I read it through the whole night one night instead of sleeping.... my poor loved one having to deal with my screen on the whole night.... There were parts I laughed and parts that got me close to tears. That ending though..... Can not wait for the next book. If you're debating on reading this or not DO IT! The only thing to make this purchase better would be to have a signed paper copy instead of kindle since it'll probably worth a lot with due time! Here's to hoping a movie gets made out of it because it would be such a good movie hint hint

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. What a wonderfulll story. I read it in one day, just couldn't put it down. Can't wait for part two of this saga.

* I truly enjoyed the storyline and can't wair for the second book in the series. The characters were very relatable for any society that you are trying to fit into and grow. I love that the lead is a strong but caring woman, who is trying to do the right thing for those around her.
